New Asia-Pacific Blog is Born

Yumeji Just a quick note to welcome a new blog, Asia-Update.net, to the blogosphere. Promising "news and analysis on the Asia-Pacific region," and written by a "former writer / editor" who has written for the Asia Times, it should be one to watch.

Nice find. Shame the chap has no comments field and labours under the delusion that quantity is the same as quality, but you are right, it's one to watch.
True, his initial offering is a little over long. Took me a couple of sittings to get through it. Must have been all the big words...
That said, I'm hardly in a position to make a fuss about the quality over quantity angle. Pots, kettles and blacks and all that...
Let's face it though, even young master Tobias' posts can be a slog, no matter how good they are in terms of content.
I'm pretty much convinced that the medium is the issue. A lengthy article in a magazine or journal never feels as painful as read-scrolling through one of equal length on a blog. Even fairly short pieces can seem unending when presented on a narrow blog design, ne?
Liked your piece on that Matador Pulse site by the way.
Keep it up.
Hey, while we are on the subject, have you stopped writing? Getting tired of seeing the same headline here. You'll never make OMIA blog of the week at this rate. What happened? Don't tell me you got a life?
Yes, must get back to the keyboard... Didn't intend to stop blogging, just a case of やる気がない recently. Been busy thinking about getting a life...
Ummm... Not much action from this guy... Guess he gave up once Guyjin came on the scene.
Yes, Mr G does write a lot huh? But glad he does, saves Our Man the effort, leaving OMIA free to explore the greater questions of the universe, such as where did all the time go?
